Morning Beginner Pottery Class – Start Your Day at the Wheel with Coffee & Clay
Looking for a creative way to start your morning in Vancouver? Join our 10AM Beginner Pottery Wheel Class—a relaxing and hands-on introduction to wheel throwing, perfect for total beginners. With a warm cup of coffee or tea in hand, you’ll ease into the day while learning the fundamentals of working with clay on the wheel.
In this 2.5-hour morning pottery class, you’ll discover how to centre clay, pull walls, and shape both cylinders and bowls—the essential building blocks of all wheel-thrown forms. You’ll also return for a glazing session where you'll decorate your pieces using our custom studio glazes.
What’s Included:
Hands-on instruction with expert ceramic artists
All clay, tools, and firing included
Coffee & tea to start your morning right
Glazing session with access to house-made glazes
You’ll Learn:
How to use the pottery wheel with confidence
Techniques to center, pull, and shape clay into functional forms
How to make a cylinder and a bowl (core pottery shapes)
Basic glazing techniques for finishing your work

Please ensure your availability for all scheduled classes. In the event that you need to miss a class, we understand. As part of our policy, you're entitled to one complimentary makeup session for each six-week course. If you anticipate missing any classes, please reach out to us via email.
