FAQs
Classes
Does the price include materials?
Yes! Báhoo Studio class prices include all materials and instruction.
Do we need to bring anything to my class?
Just an apron and your curiosity. If you forget your apron, don’t fret – we have some at the studio.
How many days does my class run for?
Each workshop level includes 6 classes held once per week.
How do your class levels work?
Our curriculum is set up to take you through beginner’s levels 1 through to advanced level 4 based on your cumulative experience. Each workshop blends seamlessly into the next. See current pottery classes available here.
What happens if I miss a class?
Please make sure you can commit to all class dates, but if you have to miss one class, no stress - we allow one complimentary practice session as a make-up per six-week course. If you anticipate missing more than one class this session, the next round of classes may be a better fit for you.
Can I bring in glazed work from another studio to complete or fire?
No, we don’t accept clay or works from other studios, otherwise, we run the risk of some pretty expensive accidents like over-melting in the kiln. That’s no fun for anyone!
Can I pay a fee to have my work fired from other studios?
Yes! Two requirements: You must use our studio glazes and know what type of clay you use. Please note the price varies per piece. Please reach out through email if you have questions.
How long do I have to wait until I can pick up my finished pottery?
This depends on the size of your finished piece and when your class finishes. Drying can take 2-7 days, plus firing in the kiln. Most pieces are ready in about 14-21 days after your class has finished. We appreciate your patience as we navigate getting your work returned to you as soon as we can.
What makes you different from other pottery studios in Vancouver?
Báhoo Studio is far more than a pottery studio – it’s a place to connect, create and build community. We focus on creating a curriculum that prioritizes foundational knowledge and instruction that’s tailored to students’ goals and progression.
No class at Báhoo is the same either – and that’s on purpose. We embrace each instructor’s authenticity, allowing our students to choose a workshop where they’ll thrive. Learn more about our instructors here.

Do you offer discounts for groups?
Yes, we offer a discount for groups of 12 or more. Feel free to reach out through email and we will try our best to get your group into the studio!
What is the maximum size group for wheel throwing and hand building?
It’s important to us that you receive hands-on, tailored instruction, which means smaller class sizes than most pottery studios in Vancouver. Wheel Throwing classes are 5 people maximum. Hand Building classes are 30 person maximum (with 2 instructors on site). See current pottery classes available here.
Can we book a specific date that is not advertised?
We usually advertise all available dates but it doesn’t hurt to ask! Send us an email here.
Do I have to book more than one spot?
Class spots are sold individually but if you’re coming with someone or a few people, we recommend purchasing all spots together.
Does the price include materials?
Yes! Báhoo Studio prices include all materials and instruction.
Do we get to keep the work we make?
If you’d like to! Over the past few years it has come to our attention that our date night workshops are creating an excess of ceramics that remain unclaimed. We’ve decided to update our policies for this workshop in an effort to reduce our environmental footprint and offer this experience at a lower cost to you. If you’d like to keep what you made during your workshop, one of our team members will trim, glaze and fire your pieces. Each item kept will be an additional $10 to the original $75+tax price.
Memberships
How much is the membership fee?
Memberships range from $98 - $500 per month. Check out our current offerings here.
What does the membership entail?
Membership at Bahoo Studio includes use of the studio space, equipment and firings. Check out the membership page for more info!
What temperature does the studio fire to?
Cone 6.
Does the price include tools and materials?
Members are responsible for providing all of their own tools, but we have some basics that you can borrow.
Should I test new clay or glazes?
Of course! We recommend that all glazes not formulated at Báhoo are tested before application on a larger piece. Even commercial glazes can make a mess in a new firing environment, so better safe than sorry.
